In 2002 a group of women who had met at Hillcrest Church were being sent out by God to other churches and neighborhoods, but they longed for the fellowship they once had as they served in church so they decided to establish a "girls night" that would meet regularly. This would give them the opportunity to stay in touch, pray for one another, just be moms (no kids allowed) and celebrate the friendship that had so blessed them while at Hillcrest. Anna picked up a brochure from Paint Yer Pottery and thus began "Gurlz Club", or as the owner at that time called us "my little Thursday Group". After 4 years had passed, Gurlz Club saw many women come and go - as various circumstances occurred in the lives of the women - and then the studio was put up for sale as the owners needed to return to a family business in their home country. No sale was made, the "going out of business" sign went up and the women prepared to say goodby to the cherished home of their Gurlz Club. Anna's husband Fred wondered how much they were asking to purchase the business, and 8 days later Anna and Dorothy were standing behind the front desk...
